Individual Therapy

Life teaches us ways to cope with its challenges. However, there may come a time when our usual strategies don’t work the way they used to. At that point, it may be helpful to talk with a therapist to explore new approaches.

Therapy offers a unique place to experiment with new ways of being and doing. I listen carefully to understand your needs and collaborate with you on a therapy plan tailored to your goals and strengths. With this as our guide, I offer you skills, ideas, and a supportive space to process past experiences, build supportive relationships, and thrive.

Here is more information about my approach.

Issues that I treat include anxiety, depression, stress, grief and loss, PTSD, low self-esteem, and healing from interpersonal violence.

My areas of special interest are:

  • Neurodiversity.

I work with clients who struggle with attention, focus, high emotional sensitivity, social relationships, sensory overload, boredom, and/or restlessness. I meet you where you are and address what’s most important to you, be it relationship issues, school accommodations, organization, the impact of negative messages from other people, or the frustration of navigating systems designed for neurotypical wiring. I’m passionate about helping clients shape a life path that respects their specific needs, empowers choice, and builds on their creativity, strengths, and talents.

  • Self-actualization.

I’m deeply committed to supporting clients in exploring all aspects of identity that are important to them, including life stage, race, ethnicity, immigration and acculturation, disability, gender, sexuality, and spirituality. I can also provide referrals for other qualified professional services as needed.
